How architecture and hands-on expertise helped businesses gain control of their products, reach more customers, and build a shared foundation for new applications. These case studies are presented anonymously.

Technical decisions with a business purpose.

→ Control over product direction and future investment
→ Lower costs to operate and evolve a platform
→ New capabilities that support commercial expansion
→ Greater reliability across connected applications
→ A shared platform that other teams can build on
CASE 01 · SHARED MOBILITYARCHITECTURE & PRODUCT INDEPENDENCE

Gaining control of the product and its future

A shared-mobility operator relied on a third-party platform, without ownership of the system or control over its product direction. The business needed its own platform, designed to keep operating costs low and make future development more affordable.

Our contribution
→ Designed the architecture of the replacement platform as a whole, including its cloud infrastructure
→ Built customer applications, administration tools, reservation services, and connected-vehicle integrations
→ Handled migration from the previous system, with operating costs and future evolution central to the approach
What changed for the business
→ Ownership of its platform and control over its product roadmap
→ Low operating costs and substantially lower costs for further development than with the previous platform
→ Freedom to prioritize improvements and extend the platform around its own needs
CASE 02 · EMERGENCY RESPONSE TECHNOLOGYWEB, MOBILE & BACKEND EVOLUTION

Expanding product reach and improving reliability

An emergency-response technology company needed to reach more customers and improve the reliability of its existing product. Its administration tools were difficult to use, while the Android application suffered from poor performance and frequent crashes.

Our contribution
→ Built new web applications, redesigned the administration portal, and introduced a browser-based operational display
→ Extended backend services and APIs over time to support new capabilities and workflows across the applications
→ Progressively rewrote the Android application, restructuring its architecture and code while the product continued to evolve
What changed for the business
→ New web capabilities helped the company offer its product to a broader customer base
→ Substantially improved Android stability and performance, with a significant reduction in crashes
→ Coordinated evolution across web, mobile, and backend systems as the product's needs grew
CASE 03 · INDUSTRYSYSTEMS INTEGRATION & PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE

A shared foundation for modernizing applications.

An industrial manufacturer needed to connect existing systems and third-party applications to support the digitalization of its operations. Different technologies and data spread across systems made integration and the development of new capabilities more complex.

Our contribution
→ Participated from the outset in defining the platform and its architecture, then contributed to implementing and maintaining backend services
→ Contributed to integrating existing systems, synchronizing data, and exposing shared APIs for applications using the platform
→ Helped shape service boundaries and dependency management so components could evolve without requiring simultaneous changes across the entire system
What changed for the business
→ A common platform on which other teams build backend and frontend solutions
→ Connected existing systems, with synchronized data and shared access through APIs
→ An architectural reference for a growing technical team and future application development
